
APPRAISAL
Burger Valuation Consultants, Inc. (BVC) offers commercial real estate appraisals performed by MAI-certified appraisers. Products include restricted and standard narrative format reports, as well as oral reports, all of which are compliant with the current USPAP. The deliverable can be adjusted to match client requirements, including expanding the narrative to match the former self-contained/comprehensive report format.

Lenders and financial institutions make up the majority of our client list, although we welcome appraisals ordered by owners, developers, investors, or other interested parties.

We regularly service the entire states of California and Nevada, though our areas of expertise are the Central Valley and Bay Area markets. Each appraiser at BVC was trained as a generalist and has experience in multiple real estate types. Although BVC covers all commercial real estate property types in a variety of appraisal and consulting assignments, we provide an affordable housing specialty that most firms are unable to support.

BVC has completed appraisals for existing and proposed low-income housing projects through a variety of programs including the Federal government’s Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, USDA’s Farm Labor, Housing Preservation, and Rural Housing loan programs, CalHFA, as well as for a variety of rent assistance programs such as Section 8 and USDA’s Rental Assistance. Often, the client’s needs and the complexities of these projects require us to analyze the impacts of favorable financing, the value of the tax credits, and the overall investment value.
