Each Market Study is designed to provide ample detail of the supply and demand dynamics of a property’s market as well as future inventory, strengths and weaknesses, demographics trends, target population drill down, income trends, multifamily market statistics, and an analysis of how the property fits within it.  Market Studies will also derive potential market and affordable rents based on competitive position and demographic support.  The market analysis with each Market Study is significantly more detailed than that contained within a standard appraisal report.  Historically, our Market Study reports have been provided to support developers, owners, investors, lenders, etc., and is often a first step analytical tool in evaluating a potential development or redevelopment.  The Market Study is a required document for affordable housing projects applying for tax credits (LIHTC) or projects applying for certain types of HUD financing.  Therefore, it is critical that a market study is commissioned with an experienced firm like BVC.
